Native American Drug Treatment

Each client has different needs when it comes to drug rehab and, at A Forever Recovery, we are dedicated to meeting those needs. Those who place high importance on spirituality often want those beliefs integrated into the program. That’s why we are offering Native American Drug Treatment called the Indigenous Track.

This treatment option is culturally relevant, with materials developed by White Bison Inc. for the Native American Wellbriety movement. Led by a certified Native American counselor, the Indigenous Track makes heavy use of Wellbriety literature, Talking Circles and Native American tradition.

This approach to Native American drug treatment heals the whole person, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. It also helps recovering addicts stay connected to their spiritual roots with participation in Sweat Lodge ceremonies and other cultural activities. The program addresses the past traumas and present challenges of Native Americans and focuses on helping recovering addicts find their way back to “Mino Mikana,” the Good Path.

Native American drug treatment is geared toward those who seek to restore their health and quality of life through traditional teachings and ceremonies. It is also a good fit for those who are uncomfortable with typical drug rehab approaches or treatment programs with a Christian focus. Native American drug treatment can also provide a strong supplement to a person’s current recovery program.
